Transparent validation scope
Irish eInvoice checker capabilities
InvoiceReady.ie validates structured invoice data; it does not read PDFs, submit invoices to Revenue, or certify legal compliance.
Security and privacy
Size limits, hostile XML rejection, no external entities or network fetching, no request-body logging, and no permanent invoice-content storage.
Rules and arithmetic
Structural, EN 16931, Irish VAT invoice readiness, and decimal arithmetic checks.
Developer interface
OpenAPI 3.1, JSON responses, CORS, result retrieval, sample catalogue, stable v1 routes and consistent HTTP errors.
Deliberate boundaries
- Canonical JSON receives readiness rules, not official EN 16931 syntax validation.
- Irish VAT treatment can depend on transaction facts the invoice does not establish; those checks may be undetermined.
- Unpublished Revenue reporting fields, transport and Irish CIUS requirements remain pending.
- PDF, OCR, CSV, Revenue submission and Peppol transport are not supported.
